The characters of Yoyogi Park
Sundays in Yoyogi Park and Harajuku never fail to amuse. Teenage girls dressed as anime characters on the bridge, rockabillies dancing in the park, people having picnics under the cherry blossom (and dancing to keep warm), dogs dressed up (we saw a whippet in a sheepskin coat), the Sunday hulahoop club and lovely blossom.

Some things never change, I see. What really gets me is that the Harajuku style is gaining grounds in Vancouver. All my kids are reading French translations of mangas; their story writing is filled with manga names and images (Neko seems to be a popular name for a character. Do they know it means "cat"?); and my girls are starting to wear pink tights with 3 inch long skirts!! The problem is that my girls are all chubby, and it is just awful to look at...
Lovely and warm here Jo! ;)
